BIOGRAPHY
MIN YIMING
Born in June 1957 in Xi’an, China, Min YiMing graduated from Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts. He now lives and works in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China. The artist also serves as President of the Chinese Academy for Beaux-Arts and Territory Development for the City of Amoy and Director of the Academic Sculpture Society for the City of Amoy in Xiamen. His recent solo exhibitions include: Therefore, Very Art Space, London (2015), Mention This Moment, Espace Pierre Cardin Paris, France (2014); 759 Square Feet, Hong Kong Contemporary Art Museum, Beijing, China (2013); Posture, Paragon International Center, Xiamen, China (2009); Deep Space, Nihao Art Gallery, Xiamen (2005). His numerous group exhibitions include: London Art Fair via Christophe Menager (2016); China/Korea/Japan Contemporary Art Exhibition, Japan (2014); Salon des Beaux Arts, France (2014); Flying Languages – Chinese Sculpture Almanac Exhibition, National Theatre, Beijing, China(2014); 798 Art Festival, Beijing (2013).
