Fitzgerald Fine Arts Debuts the Work of Hui Chi Lee

DIGITAL JOURNAL
December 2015

In a year where female artists are being celebrated in an unprecedented number of exhibits throughout the course of Art Basel Miami Beach, FitzGerald Fine Arts is pleased to announce the very first exhibit of the illustrious Taiwanese artist Hui Chi Lee at SCOPE Miami, beginning with a special by-invitation event at Booth E17 to be held throughout the afternoon today.

With an impressive exhibition record around the United States and the globe, Hui Chi Lee comes to the expert Chinese art gallery FitzGerald Fine Arts for her very first Miami and New York showcases. She exhibits today an entirely new body of contemporary work in graphite and colored pencil on paper. She received her MFA from Florida University.

According to the artist Hui Chi Lee, “I am not interested in reproducing the visible, but rather aim to make the invisible visible.”

Exploring themes related to excessive materialism, she utilizes non-traditional painting materials. Seeking to capture the viewer’s attention, the deeper goal is to inspire the viewer to consider the metaphorical implications of her abstract, large scale works.
